Sandbach Location

Sandbach is an historic market town in Cheshire, six miles south-west of Crewe and 15 miles from Stoke-on-Trent in neighbouring county, Staffordshire. With a population of nearly 18,000, the town offers every modern amenity, yet remains true to its heritage with a market three days per week.

With excellent transport links, new homes in Sandbach are popular with both commuters and families.

Transport

Situated on the Crewe-Manchester railway line, Sandbach provides fast commuter links to North West cities including Manchester, Chester and Liverpool, with intercity trains from nearby Crewe to London taking little more than two hours.

The North West and the Midlands can be easily reached via the M6, located a few minutes' drive away, along with providing access to North Wales, the Lake District and Manchester Airport.

Culture

With an excellent range of independent shops, including delicatessens, bakeries, greengrocers and butchers, Sandbach is home to a variety of cafés and restaurants along with a number of supermarkets and retailers.

Thursday is the main market day where up to 80 stalls offer everything from fabrics and household goods, to food and electrical items, while every second Saturday of the month sees the Makers Market visit the town with an eclectic mix of handcrafted products, gifts and confectionery.

Schools

There are a number of schools in the town including Elworth Hall Primary School and Sandbach High School, with Reaseheath College located 12 miles away, Staffordshire University 15 miles away and the Manchester Metropolitan University Cheshire campus just five miles away.

Shared Ownership

Help to Buy logo

Whether you're a first-time buyer, or don't have a full deposit, Shared Ownership is an affordable way to own a new home you'll love to live in.

A branch of the Help to Buy scheme, Shared Ownership is a way to buy a brand new property, allowing you to part-buy, part-rent your home.

The initial share you buy will usually be between 25% and 75% of the full property price and is tailored to your needs, making it affordable now and in the future.

You can increase your shares in your home - known as 'staircasing' - which then decreases the amount of rent you pay. If you staircase to 100% ownership, there is no rent to pay.
