Silverdale is a small, tightly-knit former mining village in the heart of Newcastle-under-Lyme. It's central location, close to the town centre, makes it a great choice to live and be part of a warm and welcoming community.
Great local walks
There are some great things to do in Silverdale, why not try a walk in Silverdale Country park? The park was created on the former Silverdale Colliery as part of a restoration project funded by the government's Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), using money from their National Coalfields Programme. This is a large park which is great for keen walkers and dog owners.
Apedale Heritage Centre and Country Park is only a stones throw away too which is a great day out to explore the old Colliery (which you can still go down and see!) and witness some great views of the local area.
